Rath Mhuire & Dolmen Community Resource Services (Est. **Apply on the
website**) is a community-based organisation that has been working
with community groups in the North Longford region for over **Apply on
the website** years. We support a range of groups, including, Active
Retirement/Age Groups, Women’s Groups, and Men’s groups, to have
a voice, access support services and be active participants within
their own community. Supports and services include Daycare Services,
Meals, Transport, Information and advocacy, Drop-in facilities, and a
range of other activities.

FULL-TIME COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WORKER BASED IN AUGHNACLIFFE, CO.
LONGFORD.

THIS IS A NEW ROLE THAT WILL REQUIRE THE DEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION OF
OUR SERVICES IN THE NORTH LONGFORD REGION.

* Hours of work can include evening and from time to time weekend
work.
* Remuneration is commensurate with experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* A Third Level Degree/Diploma/Fetac Level 6 Qualification in
Community Development /Social Sciences/Healthcare discipline
and/or
* 2/3 years’ experience working in a Community Development/Social/
Healthcare setting.

ROLE & KEY SKILLS

* Knowledge and experience of the Community & Voluntary Sector.
* Experience of working directly with groups in a community
development/social/healthcare setting.
* Facilitating and developing groups from a community and equality
perspective.
* Networking and relationship-building, both at a local and national
level, with community organisations, statutory agencies, and other
relevant bodies.
* Publicity and project marketing.
* Knowledge of Funding/Funding Applications in the Community and
voluntary Sector.
* Excellent IT, communication and organisational skills are required
for this position.

The successful candidate must have a full, clean driving license and
access to a car. Garda Vetting applies to all positions in Rath
